Gradutate Student Speaker - School of Education
Krista is a second-year master's student in the School of Education and has a Graduate Assistantship in Student Engagement and Leadership. Before coming to W&M she worked in DC for several charter schools in an assortment of administrative positions. Prior to moving to DC she served as a High School science teacher in Eastern North Carolina through Teach For America. Krista has a B.S. in Human Sciences and a B.S. in Psychology.
Outside of school, Krista is currently a Court Appointed Special Advocate and also volunteers by giving Mental Health and Suicide Prevention trainings all throughout Hampton Roads. Krista loves the outdoors, crafting and professional development. She is a certified fitness instructor and deeply values wellness; emotionally, spiritually and physically! She loves spending time with her partner and their amazing dog Barry!
