Michael Davis, born on November 4th, 1984 in Port Jefferson, New York, is a native of Chesapeake, Virginia. He is the proud sonof Ms. Regina Davis and grandson of Ms. Sara Royster. He is an active member of First Baptist South Hill in Chesapeake, Virginia where Michael R. Toliver is Pastor.

Five months pregnant with her only child, Regina Davis at a stop sign was hit by another driver. Her car was totaled, her injuries were minor and Michael was delivered five months. However, within a few months Michael developed severe cataracts and glaucoma. By the age of 13, Michael underwent 23 eye surgeries to release the pressure from his eyes. Today, Michael is legally blind in his left eye and only has light perception in his right eye. Nevertheless, this didn’t stop Michael from pursuing his dreams and aspirations.

With a fierce belief that with God all things are possible, in May of 2007, Michael became the first legally blind graduate from the University of Richmond’s Business School receiving a degree in Accounting. Michael has worked for the following organizations Naval Medical Center Portsmouth (2010 - April, 2014), US Coast Guard Surface Forces Logistics Command (SFLC April, 2014 to June, 2015), Navy Medicine East (NME June, 2015 to July, 2018), US Air Force Air Combat Command (July, 2018 to current).

To name a few of his affiliations, Michael is Treasurer of the Tidewater Chapter of the National Federation of the Blind. He is also a runner for Team Hoyt Virginia Beach, and Ainsley's Angels of America where he runs marathons pushing people with disabilities. He has raised money for CHKD, Team Hoyt, and Ainsley's Angels for several years. He ran the 122nd Boston Marathon in April, 2018 where he was the first legally blind runner in history to push someone else with a disability.
